Intermediaries and their workers’ compensation customers will soon be able to take advantage of online injury notification wherever in Australia they work with CGU.
This follows today’s launch of an online initial notification of injury service in Western Australia, Northern Territory and ACT – adding to existing CGU services in Victoria and NSW.
Online notification will then become available in all open workers’ compensation markets once the Tasmanian launch is completed in May.
The benefits of online injury notification
CGU’s online system makes initial injury notification prompt, paperless and more convenient than ever.
Available 24/7, it takes only a few minutes to complete and delivers a reference number which (upon formal notification) will become the claim number. And the earlier we’re notified of injuries, the faster we can identify priority claims and get to work in terms of claim processing, injury management and return to work planning.
Ultimately, this will help us achieve better return-to-work outcomes and help your customers keep their workers’ compensation premiums under control.
System access and further information
Intermediaries can access the online notification system via the CGU Portal while employers and injured workers should access it through the CGU public website at: www.cgu.com.au/workerscompensation.
